The Annals of the International Solid Waste Forum are consolidated as an important technical-scientific publication published in Brazil on topics related to solid waste. Open Access Policy

This magazine offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater worldwide democratization of knowledge.

Journal history

Held since 2007, the International Solid Waste Forum - FIRS started to have an annual periodicity in 2013, where in even years it has been held in its state of origin, Rio Grande do Sul, and in odd years it is itinerant. Organized by the Venturi Institute for Environmental Studies, the Forum has been attracting more and more institutions, forming a network of knowledge in the area. It has the academic support of the University of Brasília: Lacis/UnB, the University of São Paulo: IEE/USP and the Federal Technological University of Paraná: UTFPR.
