DEVELOPMENT OF TISSUE CUSTOMIZATION ACTIVITIES USING NATURAL PIGMENTS IN AN ASSOCIATION WITH CHILDREN.

Abstract

This article reports how a practice was implemented, made with natural pigments at a children association. The objective of this project is to bring a little knowledge of textile engineering to these young people, to transmit knowledge about the course and to arouse their interest in the university. For this, three different pigments were prepared from natural products and were applied to the surface of a fabric. After a meeting at the association, it was noticed that the knowledge about the academic universe and especially the use of dyes, part of the textile engineering course, deepened and led some of the individuals to show a great interest in the educational institution and in dyeing processes.
