Abstract

The production of energy to supply the industry in particular, is one of the main factors of development social and economic growth in Brazil. In a way, it reflects certain relevant aspects of the country's economy and indicates growth parameters. The residues generated in the production of energy from the burning of biomass, especially wood, for example, Eucalyptus, are usually fly ash. Such residues can either be used as aggregate mortar material for covering so building structures, as for the production of new cement-based products. Other way, they can be improperly destined with significant negative environmental impacts to the environment, such as aquatic ecosystems, valleys bottom, open dumps, diverse mounds among others.
