COMPOSTING OF INDUSTRIAL ETE SLUDGE AND SMUGGLED CIGARETTE TOBACCO BY FACULTATIVE REACTOR
Keywords:
Reactor composting; smuggled cigarette; industrial ETE sludge.Abstract
The present work aimed to study the composting in a tobacco reactor of smuggled cigarettes mixed with industrial ETE sludge and sawdust. To monitor the process, physicochemical analyzes (pH, temperature and humidity), cation exchange capacity (CTC) and seed germination index (IGS) were performed. The physical chemical analyzes showed that in the composting process, stability was achieved in 100 days, while the CTC and IGS analyzes revealed that the compost reached maturity and did not show any level of phytotoxicity. Thus, it was concluded that the proposed reactor composting of these hazardous wastes was efficient and is a promising technology.
