Abstract

Activities in the construction sector have increased over the years and consequently the waste generated has become a disorder for most cities, since the management of this process is inefficient in most Brazilian municipalities. This article aims to evaluate the management of Civil Construction Waste (CCW) in the city of Santo Antonio da Patrulha, in Rio Grande do Sul, considering the licensed or unlicensed sites for the disposal of CCW in the study area. The methodology applied was exploratory and descriptive, based on data and information made available by the city hall and the places of receipt of CCW. With this study it was possible to observe the disposal points existing in the city, their transport and destination. It was concluded that the management of CCW in the city of Santo Antonio da Patrulha is in a process of modernization, aiming at the installation of an Ecopoint and licensing more areas, seeking to adapt them to the current legislation.
