MONITORING OF GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSION THROUGH THE FINAL COVER LAYER USING THE CLOSED FLUX CHAMBER METHODOLOGY: CASE STUDY OF THE JOKEY CLUB CONTROLLED LANDFILL OF BRASÍLIA / DF
Keywords:
Landfill; Gases Flux, Closed Flux Chamber.Abstract
This research presents an application of the closed flux chamber used to determine the emissions of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) in the cover layer of the old dump in Brasília / DF. The results obtained in these studies indicated that the flow of CH4 reaches values up to 250 kg /m2 year and CO2 up to 570.84 kg /m2 year. Through the measures, it was verified that one of the analyzed cracks may have large dimensions, which may be compromising the functioning of the cover layer and favoring large emissions of greenhouse gases in the landfill region.
