Abstract

Waste electrical and electronic equipment (e-waste) tends to become a very important type of waste in the following years due to the signing of the Sectoral Agreement in 2019. The implementation of the Reverse Logistic System (RLS) for compliance of the targets established in the agreement is a priority for the sector managers. This paper aims to classify the São Paulo city according to the ability to allocate Voluntary Delivery Points (VDPs) for e-waste using a Multicriteria Analysis in Geographic Information Systems based on decree nº10.240/202 and analyse its spatial distribution. Adopting as a methodological procediment a multicriterial analysis carried out with the parameters established by the legislation. The regions of the municipality showed, in their majority, of medium and good aptitude of the allocation of VDPs. Among the best results are some neighborhoods such as Vila Mariana, Saúde, Vila Andrade and Penha, however among the worst are Marsilac, Anhanguera, Perus, Parque do Carmo and Vila Leopoldina. The study presents itself as a viable tool for the analyses of VDPs implementation and establishment of the RLS in the city through the identification of the location of areas that could make it possible the existence of a more efficient system due to the optimized e-waste recovery.
